The first target of the season has been reached. I don't consider it
to be just a little thing, because playing in Europe and competing
with the others great international football teams - and in Europe we
have plenty of them - will be another boost to give our best in this
season, in all competitions.

The second leg match win against the Sturm Graz, that could have been
also of the higher final result, is important not only because it has
qualified us for the Europa League next round, but also because our
performance was really all ninety minutes focused, without any
failures due to the tension. It wasn't easy especially in the week
like this one: a lot of new things happened, news were announced,
some arrivals and some departures took place, like it often happens in
the last days of football market; we've played a lot in a short
period , and in this phase of the season the physical condition isn't
really at the top, so the risk of missing your footing is always
there. We were good at avoiding troubles and we managed to overcome
some difficulties, like for example Amauri's injury.

As for me... Let's say that I'm really happy. Not only with my goal,
but also to have run and played in the way I did. This is a sign for
me that I'm on the right way and I mustn't stop. I did enjoy the
first match at home, the affection of our fans and above all the hug I
shared with my team mates: certain sensations never become a habit.

There were a lot of people who, in the period from yesterday night to
today morning reminded me about my career "historic" goal, the one I
scored against Steaua Bucarest in Champions 95/96. That's true they do
have something in common...

But I'd rather think_ and not because I desire to be vain, I swear I
don't - that not the latest goal scored will remind the one I scored
years ago, but yesterday goal can be similar to my next one .

And now, let's get down to the Championship!
